This French Renaissance-style Cathedral opened in 1883 and is the resting place of the Princes of Monaco and Princess Grace. This votive chapel dedicated to the Patron Saint of the Principality, the Prince and his family was built in the 11th century in the Vallon des Gaumates, where legend says a frail skiff carrying the Saint sank in the 4th century. More Info
The Market of Monaco first opened its doors in 1880. Today's (covered) market place on the Place d'Armes, is a modern building, featuring fresh seasonal produce and nearby car-park.
